Applying our vinyl lettering, wall art, and decals is easy! Before applying your vinyl, we recommend allowing the lettering/decal to first come to room temperature. If your order has been shipped, gently press the vinyl sheet flat before proceeding with the instructions below.

Your vinyl arrives as a pre-spaced sheet of letters made up of three layers:

1. the top layer (or transfer tape)

2. the middle layer (the actual letters/decal)

3. the bottom layer (white backing paper)

NEW Application Instructions-

(Quick Version)

1. Make sure your surface is clean and dry. Paint must be cured for at least 2 weeks. If you are applying our car decals, be sure to wash the windows with a mild soap and then clean with alcohol.

2. Face your design down on a flat surface. Rub over the back of the vinyl design starting in the center and moving out toward the edges.

3. If you would like to position your vinyl before application, tape the entire vinyl stack to the area you will be applying it to.  Peel away the backing paper by pulling at a 45 degree angle and pressing the paper onto itself. (Almost creating a crease in the white backing paper as you pull back.)

4. Be careful not to touch the vinyl. This may cause the vinyl to lose some of its tact.

5. If you haven't already done so, place on the wall using a level to be sure the design is straight.

6. Rub over the top of the transfer tape. This will help the vinyl stick to the wall.

7. Peel away transfer tape by pulling at a 45 degree angle in the same manner as you did with the backing paper.

Applying your Vinyl Design

(Detailed Version)

1. Place the design face down and with your application tool or credit card rub over the entire area. This process will push the surface of the vinyl into the tacky side of the transfer tape. The goal is to release the vinyl from the backing paper. Don't be afraid to apply some pressure during this process. (Note: This may be opposite from what you may have done in the past. If you were to leave the design face up and rub over the top of the transfer tape, you're actually 'pushing' the vinyl to the backing paper and away from the transfer tape.)

2. With the design still face down start at the top left hand corner and peel the backing paper away from the vinyl and transfer tape. The vinyl should remain ‘stuck’ to the transfer tape as you lift off the backing paper. If you peel away the backing paper and some vinyl tries to come with it, simply lay the backing paper back down and rub that area a little harder. Repeat this process until all of the backing paper is removed and discard. (Note: This again may be opposite from what you may have done in the past. If you were to leave the design face up and peel the transfer tape away from the backing paper the result you'd most likely get is that only the transfer tape would come up and the vinyl would remain on the backing paper.)

3. Now you're ready to place on the wall. It's very important that your artwork is level so either have a level handy or make a level line with a pencil before starting this process.

4. Using your application tool or credit card rub over the top of transfer tape. This process will 'push' the vinyl to the wall.

5. Starting at the top left hand corner, slowly peel the transfer tape away from the wall and vinyl. (Tip) If you peel the transfer tape back on itself (almost creating a crease as it pulls away,) it will create less pull on the vinyl. If any vinyl tries to come up with the transfer tape, simply lay the transfer tape back down, rub over that area with more force and try again. Once the transfer tape is removed, you can discard. Another (Tip)...Peel back the transfer tape at a 45 degree angle with one hand and with your other hand you can apply pressure to the edge of the transfer tape with your application tool or fingers at the same angle. This will help press the vinyl into the wall where you are peeling off the transfer tape.

6. Gently rub over the vinyl with your fingers to make sure it has adhered properly. You’re done!

Applying your LARGE vinyl design-
This version varies in the fact that everything is done while the product is on the wall. This version is usually best for larger applications however this method works well for smaller projects as well.

1. While the vinyl is still in its original version- (with all 3 layers still intact,) place it on wall and tape across the top of the design with blue painter's tape creating a 'hinge'. Make sure that your artwork is level.

2. Using your tape 'hinge', flip the bundle up on the wall 180 degrees. Now the backing paper will be facing you and the front of the design is facing the wall upside down.

3. With your application tool or credit card rub over the top of the backing paper. This process again 'pushes' the vinyl to the transfer tape and away from the backing paper.
(TIP)- If your design is really large or long, you can cut in between the vinyl to create multiple sections. Be sure NOT to cut the taped hinge. This is what will keep your design in place. Now you have smaller sections to work with. (Follow each step for each section from here on.)
4. Peel off the backing paper at a 45 degree angle as described above.

5. Now fold your design back down onto the wall. Rub over top of transfer tape 'pushing' the vinyl to the wall.

6. Starting at one corner, slowly peel back the transfer tape until it is completely removed. (TIP) If you peel the transfer tape back on itself (almost creating a crease as it pulls away), it will create less pull on the vinyl. If any vinyl tries to come up with the transfer tape, simply lay the transfer tape back down, rub over that area with more force and try again.
